Alex has been an amateur musician playing stringed and percussion instruments for 35 years and a therapeutic musician for over 27 years, working with antique sacred, ritual and folk instruments including modern overtone emitting sound objects and instruments.
Alex is considered to be one of the original sound therapists in wales and indeed, the UK, having developed many sound therapy techniques being practiced by others today. Fully qualified and insured Alex studied under Suren Shrestha and Mangal man Mahajan in more recent years, discovering the truth about Himalayan sound therapy and the symbolism behind it.
Using intuition and intent Alex hopes to help those who seek it. The client & participants must be receptive to being helped, open and willing to receive help. Intent and openness are essential components of sound therapy.
Brain entrainment: by using many close frequencies it is possible to 'force' the brain to relax and the body to start healing itself. There is no magic involved, the bowls don't heal, Alex isn't a healer and those who claim to be 'sound healers' are mistaken. The body heals self when relaxed and when in tune with itself and surroundings. There is science at the heart of sound therapy not magic, although a deep connection with nature and those around you will help you heal.
Alex will attempt to tune your body by experimenting with many singing bowls until his intuition tells him an optimum has been attained, he will relax your brain with sound massage. The rest is up to you: Lifestyle choice and a willingness to receive help are essential.
